Chelsea Garden Show 2006 | NSW
GOLD MEDAL WINNER !
The Chelsea garden was designed to showcase the outdoor lifestyle of our Australian culture. This garden provides ample space and is perfect for entertaining all year round. A large pavilion houses an outdoor kitchen and bbq area, with all the homely features including a LCD television and bar fridge. Level changes were created within the garden enabling the spaces to be utilised for specific functions. An example of this is the sunken lounge area, complete with open fire place it adds intimacy to the design. Australian native plants have been used throughout the garden including the outstanding grass tree (Xanthorrhoea sp.), which are believed to be hundreds of years old. Dean's signature water feature table was a focal point of this garden. Two inscribed panes of glass, cantilevered from the wall provides a stunning sheet of water which passes beneath your plate and cascades into the pond below. A very unique feature in itself, it attracted a lot of attention during the show. This amazing garden showcases the talent in design & construction of Dean and his team. The Australian crew worked tirelessly on the garden for 15 days straight, an outstanding effort and a great final result.
